Benefit to the customer is structural strength - roll over protection - helps keep pilot and students head unexposed. This feature also provides forward impact resistance.

4130 CHROMOLLY BASE MAIN FRAME NOSEe WHEELl to FAN GUARD RING
POWRACHUTE: (Exclusive Design Feature)
(First and only manufacturer to run chromolly tubing the entire length of the frame) IT JUST MAKES SENSE. This feature like the frontal bars adds more structural integrity to the design. The vast majority of the weight, vibration, and landing impact are absorbed on the rear of any PPC. Running the chromolly from the nose to the fan guard ring also helps prevent prop strikes. Hard landings on most PPC's will drive the aluminum fan guard arms into the prop if the fan guard hits the ground. POWRACHUTE is the only design that mounts every engine support tubes attachment point to the chromolly main frame.

PRECISION WHEEL BEARINGS
POWRACHUTE: Longer life span, less drag, less down time. (Not wheelbarrow bearings)

Existing Industry Alternatives:
Hard to believe but most other companies use a $2 part instead of a $6 part. When you buy your low cost machine, you'll replace theirs after about 10-20 hours. Factor that, and your time, into the price and you'll see that quality doesn't cost any more in the long run.
MAXIMUM USE of 6061-T6 ALUMINUM SADDLES
POWRACHUTE: This was an easy decision in our design. This is a must for the longevity of the design to insure no wear on bolt holes from vibration and stress.

Existing Industry Alternatives:
Tubing against tubing or channel brackets against tubing allows for little support for bolt holes. Over time this will cause the hole to oval out and degrade its integrity. Also plastic saddles will eventually crack from stress and age.
EXTENSIVE USE OF MACHINED RECESSED SADDLES:
POWRACHUTE: There is 1/16 of an inch recess in the saddles where fan guard arms join at the ring, this allows for a clean strong attachment to the ring with no gaps.

Recessed saddles are not available in any other make. Gapped joints are not as strong. Another less desirable alternative would be tubing against tubing, because of the vibration of the engine alone.
MAXIMUM USE OF EXTRUDED FORMED BRACKETS, STAINLESS STEEL CHANNEL BRACKETS
and Flat Plate Connections
POWRACHUTE: This is more expensive to do, but adds to your safety, structural strength of the machine and over all resale value when you decide to sell and upgrade to a newer model. In addition, with the formed brackets there are less bolts, less to preflight and less to go wrong.

More aluminum channel brackets, bolts, nuts, washers, more to preflight, more to go wrong. In addition, you don't have near the strength with the aluminum channel brackets.
MAXIMUM USE OF POLYMER REINFORCING PLUGS
POWRACHUTE: This is more expensive to do but adds to the structural integrity of your aircraft and to your safety. Not only are the ends plugged but also other points deep in the tubing itself. An example of this is the point where the axle bolts goes thorough the axle support tubes.

A few manufacturers use plugs but some use the wrong size bolts, so they can still oval the tubing.
KIT BUILD OR PREFABRICATED UNITS?
POWRACHUTE: Each Part is built in a reliable reproducing jig to insure no downtime in the event of damage to any part of the machine. Almost all parts are predrilled, fitted, etc. . . This means anyone with a set of wrenches can order and replace a part in no time to get back in the air again.
Also you have much lower freight cost. If you do not desire to build your kit, our dealer will provide that service for a nominal fee. Typical build time is 30 to 40 hours. for first time builders.

Existing Industry Alternatives:
Machines that are not manufactured in jigs, but are built by hand, makes it extremely hard for the average person to make the replacement part fit, look and work the same as the original. In fact, (with most factory built manufacturers), if the damage is serious enough, you have no alternative but to send your machine back to the manufacturer for reconstruction. How costly would that be? How time consuming? How much freight? In addition delivery cost are about 3 to 4 times more expensive for pre-built.
NYLON WEBBING RISERS
POWRACHUTE: This standard feature offers 6000 lbs of strength per riser, which helps absorb the load in turbulent air and is much simpler to pre-flight. it also stretches and absorbs shock to chute, which in turn gives longer chute life. In addition, it eliminates scratching of the airframe.

You have less strength - bumpy ride in turbulent air and they will scratch up your investment. Braided stainless cables cannot be pre-flighted inside the braid.
QUICK CONNECT WIRING HARNESS
POWRACHUTE: Your engine information system is mounted in the pod with the wiring harness already attached, all you have to do is plug your probes in the appropriate place.

Do it all yourself. You must have a lot of patience and knowledge of electronic wiring.
ADJUSTABLE SEAT with STORAGE BENEATH
POWRACHUTE: The center section of your seat can easily be removed and turned to gained more or less leg room, and will not allow you to unintentionally over compensate your CG adjustment.

STANDARD TIRES
POWRACHUTE: Powrachute offers the AZUSA tire and wheel as standard; this has been proven to create less drag when pushing or pulling your Powrachute. In addition, in the event your cart should tip during take-off roll, these tires will not bite into the ground like large knobby tires, which increases your chance of rollover.

Knobby tires can bite into the ground on take-off and landing which can increase the chance of roll over should your cart tip. Knobby tires on PPC increase drag load when you are pushing your machine around.

Your order doesn't bounce around from manager to manager, to lowest bidder, to sub-contractor or whatever. It's done quickly and that is why we have so many satisfied customers... no waiting for their first machine, or for parts and accessories.

Many companies sub-out parts of their production. They can't control the quality, or the timing with which the job is done. You can wait up to 2 months for parts, or even your first aircraft to arrive.
ELECTRONIC INSTRUMENTATION
POWRACHUTE: The wiring harness comes complete. All you have to do is plug it in. No cutting, splicing or generally trying to be an electrician to get the instruments wired. It's a piece 'o cake!
